Kiddie Korner is now enrolling for our 40th school year. Our convenient location, within walking distance of the Westmont High Speedline Station, makes Kiddie Korner easily accessible. Yet our residential location provides a safe home-like environment for your child. Some of the amenities that we offer to set us apart from other schools are:

PHYSICAL EDUCATION KID FIT AND FUN

One morning a week, we offer Kids Fit and Fun with Mr. Dave.  His focus is body awareness, strong healthy bodies, and self control among many other fun things.  The students work on their gross motor skills and learn about body fitness using many different techniques. We spilt into groups providing a half hour energetic session for each group!

OUR STAFF

Our staff is very willing and able to work with the parents in toilet training. We have dedicated staff who will diaper, train, and work with your child throughout the toilet training process. We use motivation, a lot of encouragement and the older children as role models. We’re very proud to admit that not one child has entered kindergarten still in diapers!

COMPUTER TRAINING

We have a computer area that is hooked up to the internet. We use this area as a teaching facilitator as well as offering some fun educational games. We don’t encourage the children to check their email, but it has been known to happen.

DISCOUNTS

Because we offer a great discount for siblings, we have a lot of families with 2 children enrolled.

WALKING SCHOOL CHILDREN

We are only a block or so from Stoy School, so we have children that we walk back and forth to their half day Pre-K and Kindergarten program.

FIELD TRIPS
We take several field trips each year. We'll visit one of the farms to go apple or pumpkin picking and we usually see a play in the spring. We also will take walking trips that are within blocks of the school. We'll visit the Crystal Lake Playground, the bakery, and Stoy Playground as well as visit the Fire and Police Departments. We also team up with the residents at Rohrer Towers. The seniors enjoy the company of our young ones and our children love spending time with all the grandma’s and grandpa’s.

SUMMER CAMP

We offer a fun and exciting summer camp program!  Once a week we walk to Crystal Lake Pool.  We also continue Kids Fit and Fun during the summer months.  We take several field trips per month to various locations and have a variety of performers visit us at Kiddie Korner. In the hot "dog days" of summer, we enjoy "Wet and Wild" days in our beautiful playground, using sprinklers, the water table and our built in sandbox.

Each day we have open classroom – the children can choose which room to be in and which activity they would like to do. During this time, we complete art projects, snack, dramatic play and academic activities. We have group times during which we have music and movement activities, with a sharing time to learn about our theme of the week.
